Former Miss SA Liesl Laurie opens up after crash
Updated | By ZAlebs
Former Miss SA Liesl Laurie is talking for the first time about the horrific car crash that left her shaken and has thanked South Africans for their well-wishers following a near death experience.
The former Miss South Africa drove under a truck after being hit from behind by another vehicle on the N1 near Midrand last week.
She sustained minor bruises in the crash, but her Mercedes Benz was reportedly a write-off.
Liesl was left shaken by the incident and decided to take a break from driving and public appearances.
She took to Instagram to let her fans know that she is doing fine after the crash.
“I am recovering at home and enjoying all the pampering from my family and close friends. See you soon SA. Love you always,” she said on Instagram.
She thanked South Africans for their support: "Thank you to everyone for all your calls, sms's and emails. It is only by the grace of God that I walked away from the accident without so much as a few bruises and a very stiff body."
