Metrobus drivers on strike
Updated | By JacarandaFM News
Commuters in Johannesburg had a tough time getting to work on Monday morning, after Metrobus workers embarked on a strike.

Johannesburg Metrobus drivers embarked on the strike following protest action at the Metrobus head office on Friday.
Metrobus spokesperson, Esther Dreyer said they obtained an interdict against the strike, but the service is still disrupted.
"No buses will be running today (Monday) and I suggest that passengers make alternative arrangements for transport. I apologise for the inconvenience. I trust it will not be for too long," she said.
Dreyer said she did not want to speculate on the reason for the strike.
"There are various reasons. I just want to clarify with Exco. There are various reasons that they have been unhappy over the past two months," she said.
