Japanese "Wine" For Cats... This is not a joke
Updated | By Bronwyn Hardick
A Japanese company called B&H Lifes is producing a wine for cats, called Nyan Nyan Nouveau. Nyan means “meow” in Japanese, a revelation that makes Nyan Cat a whole lot more sensical.
Animal activists, put your pitchforks and torches away, as the wine for cats doesn’t actually contain any alcohol. Nyan Nyan Nouveau does, however, contain juice from Cabernet grapes and includes a fragrant bouquet of Vitamin C and catnip. We’re sure the cats would much rather have catnip than alcohol, anyway.
If you’re looking to secure a bottle for your feline friend, you better act fast, as only 1,000 bottles of Nyan Nyan Nouveau are being produced, and the 180 ml bottle will set you back 399 yen (US $4), they’re sure to sell out super quickly.
You want to share everything with your cat, and now, you can even share your drinking habit! But just know that unlike real wine, this doesn't get better with age. B&H Lifes recommends drinking the beverage within a year. Cheers!
