Rosie Motene takes a stand against women & child abuse with MBD
Updated | By Michael Savage
Rosie Motene is a South African actress and television presenter best known for her role as journalist Tsego Motene on the SABC1 soapie Generations, from 2000-2004. She is also known for hosting the M-Net magazine show Studio 53.
Rosie attended drama school at Wits University in Johannesburg. Her acting career began while she was still at drama school, where she was cast for a number of professional productions. However, Rosie is widely known for her role in the Soap Opera Generations. After her exit from Generations, she was cast in the international film Hotel Rwanda.
Rose is a voice of strength and a beacon of hope in the world of darkness that many South African women and children endure every day, and strives for gender equality for all.
Over the last few years Jacaranda FM listeners have come to know ‘Sister with Blisters’ as a formidable force in making a change towards women and child abuse. But this is no ordinary walk. One has to walk in the shoes of a person who has been abused to understand the pain endured.
