A FlySafair plane was struck by lightning and Gerda da Sousa's husband was on the flight!

Jacaranda FM newsreader Gerda de Sousa's husband, Tony, was on a FlySafair plane from Cape Town to Johannesburg.

While on the plane, passengers experienced terrifying thunderstorms and lightning.
The plane was struck by lightning - and the moment was filmed by Tony de Sousa.
