12-year-old from Boksburg heads to LA to follow his dream

Zehan Venter competed in Martin Bester's 'My Kid Rocks' competition, and now he is heading to Los Angeles, America.
On Monday, 12-year-old Zehan Venter joined Breakfast with Martin Bester to talk about his entrance into WCOPA (World Championship of Performing Arts) in Los Angeles.

He also stunned the team and the Jacaranda FM listeners with his performance of Alicia Keys' 'If I Ain't Got Nothing'.
Venter started at the SACOPA (South African Championship of Performing Arts), where he progressed to the World Championship.
"I am looking forward to getting the experience of going to LA and performing on one of the biggest stages in the world," Venter said.
"I want to share my talent with the world."

The 12-year-old will compete in the championship, where he will be doing six vocal performances, two acting performances, and one dance performance – a real triple threat.
Venter said his biggest dream is "becoming a singer and being well-rounded".
