Has this ever happened to you? Surely not!

An Australian woman went to the hospital to remove her tonsils. She woke up from the surgery with an Irish accent despite never having visited the country. There could be a valid reason for this bizarre occurrence.
It is a medical condition only recorded 100 times before. An Gie Mcyen showed the world her ‘accent transformation’ on TikTok. Although it's extremely rare, it's a real condition called, foreign accent syndrome.

Foreign accent syndrome is a medical condition in which patients develop speech patterns that are perceived as a foreign accent that is different from their native accent, without having acquired it in the perceived accent's place of origin.
The condition is usually the result of a head or brain injury, with strokes being the most common cause.
