B for Bester! Proposed surname rule might make you wait for alcohol

Can you wait until June? If you can, you may be able to buy alcohol again.

President Cyril Ramaphosa mentioned in his address that certain parts of South Africa will move to level 3 by the end of May.
Opening up alcohol sales after what will be more than two months of lockdown is potentially dangerous.

In a submission to the government, the Liquor Traders Association of South Africa (LTASA) proposes opening up the allowed trading hours for bottle stores, which in the draft strategy are limited to Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday mornings until noon only, according to Business Insider.
A proposal by a group of independent liquor stores is asking for customers to be able to buy alcohol on Fridays and Saturdays, but limiting customers by surname.
Breakfast with Martin Bester divided themselves by their surnames and it looks like Martin Bester and Liesl Laurie would be in front of the line, if they so wish!
However, Elma Smit would have to wait an extra day.
