Breakfast with Martin Bester discusses bullying facts, prevention, and effects

We spoke to psychologist, Dr Ilse Ruane, about the warning signs that your child is being bullied and what to do to help them.
Bullying is a serious problem among children.
Last week on Good Morning Angels, Breakfast with Martin Bester was again confronted with the harsh reality of bullying in our society and community of listeners with the story of 10-year-old Reynhardt.

Dr Ilse Ruane says the signs of bullying are depression and anxiety. One can be attentive on your child’s pattern, as they will not do the things they usually do and become secretive.
Dr Ruane says: “It’s very difficult for the child to confront the bullying and the circumstances. In 2020 there’s different kinds of bullying. Kids are using Instagram to bully. Our generation of parents are not aware of what is happening.”
