Hollywood action hero Bruce Willis diagnosed with dementia

Actor Bruce Willis has been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, his family has announced.
In an official statement on social media, Bruce Willis' family announced that the actor has been diagnosed with dementia.

According to the statement, the 67-year-old actor was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia.
The official statement was posted on actress Demi Moore's Instagram page. The pair was married from 1987 to 2000.
According to BBC News, Willis was first diagnosed with aphasia back in 2022, which impacts his speech.
"Since we announced Bruce’s diagnosis of aphasia in spring 2022, Bruce’s condition has progressed and we now have a more specific diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia," the statement read.

The actor's family also expressed their gratitude towards the "outpouring of love" they have received.
"Our family wanted to start by expressing our deepest gratitude for the incredible outpouring of love, support and wonderful stories we have all received since sharing Bruce’s original diagnosis."
