Can you roast marshmallows over a volcano? Martin Bester has the answer
Hawaii’s Kilauea volcanic eruption has the world talking, but one important question needs to be answered...
Responding to this morning’s news, Martin Bester had the perfect way to roast a marshmallow over a scorching hot volcano.
USGS Volcanoes, who delivers official volcano updates and information, answered a tweet and confirms that “no, you should not roast marshmallows over the scorching hot volcanic vents.”

Erm...we're going to have to say no, that's not safe. (Please don't try!) If the vent is emitting a lot of SO2 or H2S, they would taste BAD. And if you add sulfuric acid (in vog, for example) to sugar, you get a pretty spectacular reaction.
