Danny Painter opens up about husband's sudden death
Danny Painter opened up about her husband Phil Painter's sudden death and revealed the cause of his death.
On 20 September 2023, Jacaranda FM presenter Danny Painter shared the heartbreaking news that her husband of 17 years had sadly passed away.
Following her announcement, Painter has received a lot of love and support, but during the healing process, she has also been bombarded with questions surrounding his death.

Painter spoke to Breakfast with Martin Bester to answer these questions and set the record straight in the hopes that she can continue healing.
According to Danny, Philip had a massive heart attack at 18:45 on 19 September 2023.
"Thank goodness I was at home," said Painter. "I was about to do my show when I heard him fall and ran to him."
"I gave him CPR as I was calling the ambulance."
Painter described the traumatic experience as "very blurry", but recalled her mother telling her that "Phill is dead" which prompted her to stop CPR.

"There were no prior indications that something was wrong, there was heartburn and that was it."
The Jacaranda FM presenter has been making frequent social media posts to pay tribute to Phil and celebrate his life.
"Phil was absolutely without a doubt the most beautiful human I have ever met, and I knew immediately when I met him that he would forever be in my life. We made 17 years after eloping after four months. He was my best friend, the light of everyone who knew him," Painter revealed.
"I am overwhelmed with love today, and especially from my Jacaranda FM family and his entire family."
"A light has gone out in the world," she added.
As tributes from friends, colleagues, and family members also streamed in on social media, everyone remembered Phil as a kind and generous soul.
"I'm seeing a side of him that I never knew and I love it," said Painter.
