Updated | By Breakfast with Martin Bester
Recently released footage shows the moment a man sets the inside of a truck alight.
A dashcam from one of the trucks torched on the N2 between Piet Retief and Ermelo on Wednesday captured shocking footage of the ordeal.
The video captured the moment a truck driver was stopped before being hijacked by a man wearing a hoodie.

After driving off with the truck and stopping a short distance further on, the suspect proceeds to pour liquid onto the mattress at the back of the cabin before setting it alight using a match.
As the truck is engulfed with flames, the man jumps out, but not before the dashcam video catches the suspects face on camera.
According to Jacaranda FM News, the trucks were torched on the N2 between Piet Retief and Ermelo.
"Three of the trucks were seriously burned, whilst one was only burned in the cabin,” said Mohlala.

The latest incident came after the torching of five trucks on the N4 near Waterval Boven on Monday.
Similar incidents have occurred in KwaZulu-Natal, where five trucks have been set alight, while three were also set alight in Limpopo.
One lady sustained burn wounds on her feet while allegedly asleep in one of the trucks.
"It is alleged that people emerged from the grasses and approached the trucks with firearms and instructed the drivers to get out or otherwise they will burn them inside,” added Mohlala.

"The drivers then left and ran away. The trucks were then set alight."
No arrests have been made.
"The motive for the attacks is unknown at the moment,” said Mohlala.
