On Monday, Breakfast with Martin Bester spoke to Miss South Africa 2024 Mia le Roux about the moment she was crowned Miss SA, her plans for her reign, and being the first deaf Miss SA.

On Saturday, August 10, Mia le Roux was crowned Miss South African 2024 during a star-studded final at SunBet Arena, Time Square.

The judging panel, which included former Miss South Africa Jo-Ann Strauss, actress Leandie du Randt, Miss World Rolene Strauss, radio personality Lerato Kganyago, and actress Thembi Seete, came together to judge the final Top 10 Miss South Africa 2024 finalists. 

In the end, Le Roux was announced as the winner by the host, media mogul and businesswoman Bonang Matheba.

On Monday, the 28-year-old stopped by Jacaranda FM to speak to Breakfast with Martin Bester about her new title, her plans for her reign, and being the first deaf Miss SA.

Mia le Roux (28) was born in Sasolburg, Free State, and raised in Oudtshoorn, Western Cape. She is a marketing manager, model, and part-time B Com Marketing student.

She was diagnosed with profound hearing loss at the age of one and says her community rallied behind her to give her the gift of hearing, inspiring her desire to make a positive impact and break barriers.
