Disney+ launches in South Africa

Another streaming service has made its way to South Africa. Read all about the Disney+ launch here.
On Wednesday, Disney+ held a premiere as their official launch in South Africa. The full-day launch and premiere also included the release of the streaming giant's entire line-up.

The premiere took place at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in Midrand and included an array of performances and a special performance by South African singer Busiswa Gqulu.
According to News24, Disney+ subscribers will have access to over 1,000 films, 1,500 series, and 200 originals.
This will include content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and Star.

The premiere also welcomed many local celebrities like social media star Lasizwe, actress and television host Roxy Burger, and Jacaranda FM's own Rozanne McKenzie.
