Emotional DJ Jazzy D shares experience of being in ICU with COVID-19

DJ Jazzy D shared his story on Breakfast with Martin Bester - listen below.
At the beginning of the year, Jacaranda FM's DJ Jazzy D tested positive for COVID-19.
On the 23rd of January, Jazzy D was admitted to ICU. He revealed on social media that being in ICU was a "very scary" experience.

After a few days, he was discharged from the hospital. DJ Jazzy D thanked the staff at Pretoria Hospital, who played a big role in his recovery journey.
"I have next-level respect for the nurses of Pretoria Hospital - they are an amazing bunch," he wrote on Facebook.
"I am personally feeling very good - I have lost 12kg," he continued on Facebook.
Breakfast with Martin Bester caught up with him while recovering at home to find out more.
"I'm doing well at the moment. There's a lot of improvement and I'm just happy I'm alive."
"Isolation at home is so vital. The attention and love are vital."
Being in ICU was a traumatic experience for DJ Jazzy D.
"Seeing nurses fighting to keep patients alive is heartbreaking. They (nurses) are my true heroes."
