Francois van Coke was excited to announce on Breakfast with Martin Bester that although South Africa is still under lockdown and has serious gathering restrictions, there will be a Francois van Coke & Vriende 2020.
One particular musician new to the line-up this year is Matthew Mole! Van Coke and Matthew Mole started talking about doing a song together in 2017 but only made it happen during the national lockdown.

The global pandemic has forced this year’s concert to go online and it will be streamed live from Cape Town on the 18th of September at 8pm SAST.
Since the first Francois van Coke & Vriende concert in 2018 at Sun Arena in Pretoria, it quickly became a highlight of the year for Francois’ fans and sells out every year. Last year, just under 10,000 people attended the concert. COVID-19 is not going to stop it this year.
