Four personal items you should replace regularly
Updated | By Breakfast with Martin Bester
You should replace your toothbrush, contact lens case, sunscreen and pillows on a regular basis.
Is your toothbrush more than four months old? And how about your contact lens case? Health 24 released an interesting article about the four items you should be replacing on a regular basis.
These and other everyday essentials need regular replacing - no matter how comfortable you are with them.
TOOTHBRUSH
The most important personal item you should replace on a regular basis is your toothbrush. Your toothbrush should be replaced every three to four months.
CONTACT LENSE CASE
Your contact lens case should also be replaced every three months.
To take proper care of your contact lens case, rinse the case with fresh lens solution, shake out excess liquid, and leave the empty case open to air dry.
SUNSCREEN
Sunscreen? Yes, don't use your sunscreen after the expiry date.
PILLOWS
According to the National Sleep Foundation, it suggests that every one to two years you should replace your pillow, especially if it hasn't been protected from dust mites.
Washing helps, but first, check the instructions label before washing.
