Friday Live: Australian band Amistat put a twist on an old classic

Australian band Amistat joined us on Friday for a live performance of their 'Eye Of The Tiger' rendition.
Twin brothers Josef and Jan Prasil were born in Germany and raised in Italy. With parents originating from the Czech Republic and Australia, they eventually moved to Australia to further propel their music careers. The duo relocated back to Europe in 2019.
On Friday, the brothers joined the Breakfast with Martin Bester team for a live performance and to talk about their upcoming performance at 'ParkLive'.

The ParkLive Gourmet Food & Music Festival is taking place Saturday, 5 November, at Marks Park in Emmarentia.

ParkLive promises a great day out with an impressive live music line-up which sees Jeremy Loops, Prime Circle, Just Jinjer, The One Who Sings (Zolani Mahola), Amistat (from Australia), Lee Cole, and many more artists take to the two stages.
Since 2012, Amistat has released four EPs: ‘It’s Not Words’, ‘Somewhere Sometime’, ‘Nostalgia’, and ‘Love and Light’, and their debut album, ‘Parley’, which saw them embark on a number of Australian and European tours including performances at some of Australia's finest festivals, such as Woodford Folk Festival, National Folk Festival, Fairbridge, and Nannup.
The duo won the Marton Guitar Emerging Artist of the Year 2018 Award at the Port Fairy Folk Festival 2018.

Following a two-month tour with Australian band Sons of the East in 2019, playing 49 shows in 15 countries, Amistat followed up with their own headline tour through Europe and the UK in autumn 2019, before heading to their second home Australia for a national tour at the start of 2020.
Celebrating the release of their latest EP, ́Still Alive', the duo have just come off their European tour.
