‘Here’s to second chances’ - Jo Black shaves off his beard during lockdown

Jo Black joined Breakfast with Martin Bester for a special #StayAtHomeLive performance from his livingroom in Pretoria at the start of April.

A few weeks after this, on Day 21 of the national lockdown, the singer decided to shave off his much-loved beard.
‘If you shaved a lion’s mane, pulled its teeth and cut its nails, what would he be??? A lion!!! Just because he doesn’t look or feel like a lion, doesn’t make him any less than a lion," the Skepe-hitmaker wrote on his Instagram post.

Jo mentioned that he is anticipating a lot of positive and negative comments, but ensured his followers that change is the only constant at the moment. He added that "every day is a new day for a new start."
