Singer puts South African "twist" on a famous John Legend song
Singer John Legend recently praised a South African TikTokker for putting a South African twist on his song 'Nervous' during a TikTok Challenge. See the full cover below!
The 'All Of Me' singer launched the #OpenVerseChallenge on TikTok, allowing users to duet to his song, 'Nervous'.
South African singer Mthandazo Gatya participated in the challenge and put his own unique South African twist on the song.

Gatya added a Maskandi beat to the song and added his own Zulu lyrics.
The unique rendition of 'Nervous' was spotted by Legend himself.
Gatya headed to social media after Legend commented on his video with flame emojis, thanking South Africans for helping John Legend see his duet.
