Kyle Blignaut is ready for the Olympic men’s shot-put final

Good news for Team South Africa!

Kyle Blignaut, 21 of Tuks, qualified for the Tokyo Olympic Games with a winning throw of 21.21 metres in the men’s shot-put during the 2021 USSA Athletics Championships in Johannesburg.
Now the “Big Man” and Pretoria's gentle giant is through to the Olympic men’s final on Friday morning!

According to TUKS’ website, Kyle is South Africa’s third-best shot putter of all time. But, the talented athlete will compete to become the best of all time as he prepares for the Olympic shot-put final in Tokyo.
The gentle giant threw a distance of 20,97m to secure his place. Look out for Tuks’ Blignaut as he is a favourite to win the gold medal on Friday!
