Lawyers Against Abuse is fighting gender-based violence

Will you be joining us at this year's First for Women 'Sisters with Blisters' with Jacaranda FM?
Each year, many South Africans turn their attention to the plight of abused women and children.
With one of the highest rates of violence against women in the world, South Africans need to stand together and have their voices heard and strive to shut violence against women and children down.
Lindsay Henson is an Executive Director at Lawyers Against Abuse, a non-profit organisation that provides free legal and psycho-social support services to victims of gender-based violence, including sexual violence, domestic violence, and child abuse.
The organisation also works to facilitate structural change through strategic engagement with state actors and the communities in which they serve.
Henson joined Breakfast Show hosts Martin and Tumi to speak about the organisation and the work it does within the community.
