5. Demi Lee Moore covers Theuns Jordaan’s 'By Jou'
As a tribute to the late Theuns Jordaan, South African singer Demi Lee Moore performed his song 'By Jou' on Friday Live. The emotional performance left Liesl Laurie and many other Breakfast with Martin Bester team members in tears.

4. Martin Bester cuts his hair live on air!
Following the announcement of a national lockdown at the beginning of 2020, many decided to take cutting their hair into their own hands. One of these people was Martin Bester, who decided to cut his hair live on-air.
3. Good Morning Angels assist Rachel and her two sons
On July 26, 2017, Good Morning Angels, assisted Rachel, a 34-year-old single mother of two sons. One of Rachel's two sons is autistic and because of this, her community shunned them. Without support from her family and community, Rachel decided to move and live on her own with her sons.
The Angels assisted Rachel with paying for school and transport fees for her sons, as well as her rent, for the rest of that year. Spar also gave Rachel vouchers for groceries of R2,000 a month for 12 months.

2. 'Dancing With The Stars' prank
When it was announced that Liesl Laurie will be appearing on 'Dancing With The Stars', the Breakfast team decided to have fun with a prank. Martin Bester's face was edited onto Laurie's dance partner Ryan Hammond and it was 'revealed' that Bester would be her dance partner.

1. Liesl Laurie gets a tattoo in Bali
Breakfast with Martin Bester listeners was prompted to vote between Liesl Laurie getting a tattoo and Martin Bester shaving his beard. After the voting concluded, Laurie got the most votes to get her very first tattoo. On a trip to Bali the former Miss South Africa winner then held her end of the bargain and got a star tattooed on her wrist.
