This man is a voice for many…
All South Africans currently share the frustration that so many South African Rugby World Cup matches are being played on Sundays.
Martin Bester spoke to TikTokker Kuhle Sonkosi:
Sundays are less than ideal, seeing that most people need to be back at work on Monday, which means they’ll have to be in bed early, and you can forget about having another beer.

He starts his video by referencing the struggles of the first match between South Africa and Scotland, in which the Springboks reigned victorious.
“People yesterday either couldn’t celebrate the Bok win properly because of thinking about Zoom meetings, weekly status meetings, and kids couldn’t focus properly because the game ended. Immediately they thought of English assignments, had to read ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ or had to do maths, science,” he said.

“We need to be at our best for the Boks to defend this World Cup Trophy, and we need to have Mondays off,” he continued.
“We can’t put this burden on blue Powerades. Blue Powerades can’t maintain this entire country’s productivity on a Monday for six weeks,” he added.
The popular TikTokker concluded his video by saying: “For the sake of the productivity of this country, For the sake of the economy. Mr President, we ask for a public holiday the Monday after a Springbok game.”
