Mayor Mpho Phalatse ties the knot with ActionSA member
The City of Johannesburg Mayor is officially off the market!
City of Johannesburg Mayor and medical doctor, Mpho Phalatse, tied the knot with ActionSA member Brutus Malada.
According to Sowetan Live, Malada is a well-known public figure, research consultant, and political strategist with more than 15 years of work experience, including working in international institutions.

Pictures shared on social media show what seems to be an intimate marriage ceremony where the Joburg mayor can be seen wearing a short, off-white dress.
More pictures include snaps of the DA Mayor and her husband staring intimately into each other's eyes.

The ceremony did however spark controversy on social media with many calling it a "coalition" between the DA and ActionSA.
Phalatse's run as mayor, which has been for just over a year, has been rocky, to say the least.

According to Jacaranda FM, Phalatse has survived not one but two motions of no-confidence with her opponents plotting to table another motion in the new year.
