Miley Cyrus’ 'Flowers' sets new world record

Miley Cyrus’ newest single, ‘Flowers’, featured on the Guinness World Records website for the most streams in a single week.

Pop sensation Miley Cyrus recently released her newest single, ‘Flowers’, and already it has taken the world by storm.

According to Guinness World Records, the track has achieved the most streams of any single in a single week on the music streaming platform Spotify.

‘Flowers’ has been taking over the internet with it trending on most of the popular social media platforms and racking up more than 96-million streams in just one week.

That is seven-million streams more than the previous record holder. The previous record was held by British singer Adele for her single, ‘Easy On Me’.

The new chart-topping single is the first from Cyrus’ eighth studio album, ‘Endless Summer Vacation’.

Many fans have been speculating the “deeper” meaning of the song, with some saying it is a song in response to singer Bruno Mars’ ’When I Was Your Man’.

Others speculate that the song was written for Cyrus’ ex, Liam Hemsworth.
