Mother uses skill to escape hijacking in Centurion

In an attempted hijacking in The Reeds in Centurion, a mother escaped in Versveld and Markotter Streets.
In an attempted hijacking in The Reeds, Centurion, a mother’s quick thinking resulted in her escaping the hijackers - by taking them on.
The 43-year-old mother not only slammed the one attacker with the door of her Mercedes-Benz, but then put her car into reverse, with her door still open, and sped off!

In the video one can see a hatchback vehicle driving. It comes to a stop and in seconds reverses with its door open.
The woman is safe and unharmed after seeking help at a nearby filling station.
The Facebook page, ‘Concerned Citizens South Africa’, posted the video and warned motorists to be vigilant and on the lookout for possible hijackings. Watch the video here.
