Updated | By Breakfast with Martin Bester
More conspiracy theories surrounding the Princess of Wales have made their way onto the social media landscape.
Kate Middleton, 42, received an outpouring of global sympathy after a video message revealed she was undergoing preventative chemotherapy.
But the Princess of Wales' absence from the public eye has still been sparking numerous conspiracy theories online after a manipulation of a royal photograph was released to the media.
Online reports over the past weekend caused quite a stir when it was suggested that the Princess overdosed on sleeping pills.
A former staffer of the royal family has allegedly claimed that Kate Middleton slipped into a coma after overdosing on sleeping pills.

"In the early evening of 28th December, after tea, we found her unconscious in her room, and she got taken away quickly to the hospital. We never saw her again," said the staffer who wishes to remain anonymous.
The royal family has not verified the claims, and many are calling them part of the numerous conspiracies currently circulating.

2024 has been a rollercoaster for the British Royal family
It had not been long after King Charles shared his cancer diagnosis with the public that the Kate Middleton conspiracies kicked off.
She had not been seen in public in months, and the internet was consumed by conspiracy theories about the Princess of Wales.
In a video, she eventually addressed the concerns and revealed that she, too, had been diagnosed with cancer and was undergoing preventative chemotherapy.
