Richard Branson successfully returned to earth aboard Virgin's rocket-powered plane.
Virgin Galactic founder Sir Richard Branson successfully returned to earth aboard Virgin's rocket-powered plane.
Branson is the first billionaire to travel to space aboard a spacecraft he helped fund.
He said, it was the "experience of a lifetime".

The trip was not too long, and he returned to Earth an hour after leaving.
Amazon’s Jeff Bezos and SpaceX’s Elon Musk all have plans to visit space in their own rockets, but Branson was the first to do it.
