Video footage of American rockstar Jon Bon Jovi talking a woman out of committing suicide has been making the rounds on social media.
It is safe to say the world is currently facing a mental health crisis, with almost one in eight people living with a mental disorder, according to the World Health Organisation.
Although education and acceptance of mental health struggles have evolved in recent years, there is still a long way to go to address the mental health crisis.
While we should all work together to assist with the crisis and even seek help for ourselves, small acts of kindness could save someone's life.

According to Sky News, the singer was allegedly filming a video for his band's track, 'The People's House', on the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge when he spotted a woman leaning from the rails.
CCTV footage of the incident showed the Bon Jovi frontman and another woman approaching the woman and starting to talk to her.
The other woman in the clip can be seen stroking the person's back, trying to encourage her to return to safety, while the ‘Livin On a Prayer’ star can be seen leaning on the rails of the bridge and talking to the woman.
Finally, the woman seemingly decided to spare her own life as she turned around and climbed over the rails with the assistance of her saviours.
Bon Jovi then embraces her as they stand together for around a minute before walking back down the bridge together.
