Rooihuiskraal residents take on pothole problem

Residents in the Rooihuiskraal area took matters into their own hands when they filled 12 potholes over the weekend.
Rooihuiskraal community members came together over the weekend to fill potholes in their area.
Many residents gave up their Sundays to make a difference in their community.

According to Pretoria Rekord, many who couldn’t help on Sunday showed their support in the form of donations towards the road repairs.
“It was very successful. Luckily we had the community to provide assistance financially,” said community member Neil Engelbrecht.
According to Engelbrecht, the community managed to fill 12 potholes.

“We eventually filled 12 potholes. The biggest ones were in Uitsig Road; one took seven bags of tar to fill. The process of getting it done was surprisingly easy.”
