Saudi authorities seize toys 'promoting homosexuality'
Authorities in Saudi Arabia have been seizing rainbow-coloured items that 'promote' homosexuality!
According to BBC News, commerce ministry officials in Saudi Arabia have been seen seizing items from shops in the capital city Riyadh.
These items include toys, children's clothing, hair clips, pop-its, t-shirts, hats, and pencil cases that are rainbow-coloured.

Officials in Saudi Arabia claimed that these items "contradict the Islamic faith and public morals, and promote homosexual colours targeting the younger generation".
The Saudi commerce ministry also shared a tweet in which they confirmed that items containing "symbols and signs calling for deviation and contradicting common sense" were being confiscated.
Retailers that are found selling these items could also face legal action and penalties.

Under the country's current Islamic law, same-sex sexual conduct is punishable by death or flogging. According to BBC News, it is also "illegal for men to 'behave like women' or to wear women's clothes, and vice versa".
