Social Media: Facebook will hide number of 'likes' you get

Facebook will be hiding the number of likes, reactions and views that posts get.
First Instagram, and now Facebook.
In July, Instagram like counts were hidden in seven countries: Australia, Canada, Brazil, New Zealand, Ireland, Italy and Japan.
The social media giant Facebook began hiding likes, making the number of reactions, views and likes.

The idea is to prevent users from destructively comparing themselves to others and possibly feeling inadequate if their posts don’t get as many 'Likes.'
The number of reactions, views and likes will only be visible for the author who posted the photo of video.
Earlier in September, the social media network indicated that they are experimenting with the new upgrade to the platform.
