South African property sells for R52-million on auction

The property’s price is a whopping R52.25m!
Morgenhof Wine Estate is the oldest property in Stellenbosch, the student town in Western Cape.
The town is renowned for its oak trees, sidewalk cafés, greenery, wine farms, and rich history.

The property was sold via live stream by High Street Auctions. They are the first choice auction brand and property auction house in South Africa.
The property’s price is a whopping R52.25-million!
Not much was revealed but the buyer is from Europe and made the offer via telephone! Director and Lead Auctioneer, Joff van Reenen, said, “It was also the largest South African auction campaign ever run, with 2.4 million online views. Global marketing was focused across the United States, Europe and Africa with inquiries eventually coming in from 15 countries.”
