A billboard wishing the South African national rugby team well has drawn much attention online.
A picture of a new billboard wishing the Springboks well has caused quite a stir on social media after a major "spelling error" was spotted on the billboard.
The Springboks left South Africa from the OR Tambo international airport in Johannesburg for the Rugby World Cup in France over the past weekend.

Many fans and spectators wished the national team well on their journey, but one billboard doing the same did not sit well with many South Africans.
"Go Springbox! Love Eskort," the billboard reads, alongside a South African flag.
Although the thought behind the campaign was set out with good intentions, many could not look past the spelling error.

Social media was flooded with reactions from South Africans, with some praising the patriotism of the billboard, while others were not able to look past the "Springbox".

Other reports claim this "spelling error" was intentional and a stroke of "marketing genius".
Seeing that the campaign has sparked a lot of conversation, humour, and widespread engagement, many believe the campaign was a great marketing stunt.
