VIDEOS: Tshwane floods and the disastrous aftermath

Several roads in Centurion were closed off following heavy rain and flooding in the area, while one life has been lost to the natural disaster.
Heavy rain and flooding over the past few days in Gauteng have led to forced evacuations and emergency rescues.
Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs Minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma has confirmed that the flooding in Tshwane has claimed the life of one person.

The worst affected area has been Eerste Fabrieke in Mamelodi, where an estimated 700 shacks were affected by torrential rains.
In total, almost 1,000 people have been displaced in Mamelodi.
