South Africans were left slightly torn after a recent proposal, which was shared on TikTok, went viral.

Once the dessert is put in front of her, she immediately spots the ring and almost instantly starts bawling her eyes out.
Her boyfriend then retrieves the ring from the dessert before gesturing for Fillis to stand.
After a few heartfelt moments, he gets down on one knee and proposes.
With tears in her eyes, she put her hand out and accepted his proposal, seemingly struggling to get any words out.
The couple then embraced each other as the restaurant staff celebrated with them.

Viewer reactions were mixed as some criticised the man for his choice of venue, saying a family restaurant like Spur isn't a place to ask someone to marry you.
However, others praised the couple for the beautiful moment, regardless of the location.
Even Spur's official TikTok account joined the celebration, commenting, "It's a celebration. Congratulations."
