WATCH: Horrifying moment child is snatched in supermarket

Yet another child has allegedly almost been snatched in a local supermarket...
Another alleged kidnapping attempt has left residents in Gqeberha riddled with fear.
A video shared by anti-crime activist Yusuf Abramjee shows the shocking moment a child was snatched from a trolley in a supermarket.

In the video, a woman walks by a trolley where the child is sitting and picks up the child. The little girl's alleged parent or guardian was standing with their back to the trolley during the incident.
The attempted kidnapping of the one-year-old took place at a local supermarket in Gqeberha on Monday.

Thankfully, security was alerted and the child was found in the store. Police allegedly arrested two suspects.
According to Jacaranda FM news, police spokesperson Priscilla Naidu confirmed that "the child was seated in the trolley while the parents were busy at the fridges and had their backs to the trolley."
"It is alleged that a female walked up to the child, touched her, and then walked away. Within seconds, another female snatched the child and also walked away."
