“We have a responsibility” - AB de Villiers shows Black Lives Matter support

South Africa's cricketers showed unity at Centurion in a moving tribute over the weekend.
After days of discussion around the Black Lives Matter movement, South Africa's cricketers showed a united face against racism by taking a knee at Centurion's SuperSport Park ahead of the 3TC match on Saturday, 18 July.
AB de Villiers joined Breakfast with Martin Bester to talk about the game over the weekend, as well as the Black Lives Matter movement.

De Villiers explained: "It's a difficult one. I myself did not understand the Black Lives Matter movement well. I talked to the guys in the team to try to understand. There are probably a lot of people who are angry about the movement, but a plan has been put in place."
The superstar batsman further explained to Martin Bester: "The gates have been opened to support quite a few things in the future. There are many problems in our country that we need to address, and I feel our cricket players have a big role to play in making people aware of our problems."
