Breakfast with Martin Bester spoke to Rikus ‘Radioraps’ de Beer about Dricus du Plessis’ UFC 305 victory in Perth, Australia.
Rikus de Beer, Dricus du Plessis's friend and a member of his fight camp, joined Breakfast with Martin Bester to discuss the UFC champion's victory.
UFC champion Dricus du Plessis had the whole world talking after he managed to defend his title during his much-anticipated fight against Israel Adesanya on Sunday, 18 August.
Following the highly-anticipated fight, the fighters sat down in a post-fight press conference to take questions from the media.

During Du Plessis' round of questions, the champion was seen drinking a Monster energy drink during the interview, but viewers quickly realised it might not have been an actual energy drink.
In a video clip that has since gone viral, the champion can be seen taking a sip of his drink when he notices something strange about it.
He then looks suspiciously at the drink before directing his suspicious eyes to the audience, looking for the culprit who might have swapped it out.

Luckily, his friend Rikus de Beer was able to set the record straight and reveal what was really in that Monster can.
De Beer told Martin Bester that the reason Du Plessis reacted strangely to the can is because it was actually empty.
It was first alleged that Springbok lock Eben Etzebeth replaced the drink with brandy.

"I wasn't aware that this rumour was going around in South Africa," he said.
After hearing about the internet buzz surrounding the Monster can, De Beer asked the defending champion what was in the can.
Du Plessis then revealed that there wasn't a story and that the can was just empty.
