19 coronavirus cases at Mediclinic Morningside

Mediclinic has confirmed nineteen cases of Covid-19 at its Morningside hospital.
The hospital has been closed for new admissions and will be only be admitting patients in case of emergency.
"Mediclinic can confirm that, following the identification of a Mediclinic Morningside staff member that subsequently tested positive for Covid-19, more than 100 potential contacts have been tested, with the majority of these returning negative results," the hospital group said in a statement on Wednesday.

Of the 19, four are patients, and nine are healthcare workers.
From Wednesday the hospital will undergo a three-day risk assessment, which includes more tests and deep sanitation.
"We can assure the community that we have established procedures relating to staff exposure, the risk thereof and testing. Testing has been expanded and will continue until everyone on site has been tested, including all patients, doctors, employees and service providers based at the hospital."
