Covid-19 closes police station in Secunda

The Charles Cilliers police station in Secunda in Mpumalanga has been temporarily closed after an employee tested positive for the Covid-19 on Monday.

Police spokesperson Leonard Hlathi says the employee is based at the community service centre.
"The community service centre will now be operated at the multi-purpose centre premises which is not far from the police station for the convenience of the community, approximately 600 meters from the station to be precise."
He has given an assurance that service delivery will not be impacted.
"The building will be decontaminated and services will resume normally at the station on Thursday,."
