The Covid-19 death toll in South Africa increased by another three over the past 24 hours - reaching 93 on Tuesday evening.

Statistics released by the Department of Health on Tuesday night show that three more people have succumbed to the virus.
Health Minister Zweli Mkhize hosted a technical briefing on the latest Covid-19 developments in the country.
Mkhize said all 3 the latest fatalities were from the Western Cape.
“One is 67-year-old male, the other one is a 70-year-old male and the other one is a 79-year-old female.
“All of them did have some underlying issues, which were some comorbidities which were associated with them.”
The number of infections have also increased – adding another 203 cases since Monday.
“As of today, we have 4996 cases reported in South Africa,” Mkhize added.
Mkhize said this number is expected to spike as government rolls out more testing campaigns in communities.
