Covid-19 deaths increase to 138

The Westen Cape and KwaZulu-Natal show the most deaths due to the Covid-19 pandemic in South Africa.

The Ministry of Health says in a statement seven deaths were reported on Monday, which brings the total deaths nationally to 138.
Six of the seven are from the Western Cape and one from KwaZulu Natal.
According to the statement, the Western Cape now has a total of 64 deaths, while 35 people have died from the virus in KwaZulu-Natal and the Eastern Cape has recorded 17 deaths so far.
In total, South Africa now has 7220 confirmed Covid-19 cases.
A total of 257 541 tests have been conducted across the country with 11 794 tests done between Sunday and Monday.
