SA Covid-19 deaths surpass 7 000 mark

As of Monday, Covid-19 related deaths across the country breached the 7 000 total.
The total number of Covid-19 related deaths now stands at 7 067.
The daily report by Health Minister, Zweli Mkhize, shows an increase of 288 deaths recorded in the latest 24-hour period.

Most of the deaths – 91 – were recorded in the Free State, followed by the Eastern Cape at 77 and 61 from Gauteng.
A total of 452 529 Covid-19 cases have been recorded in the country, which is an increase of 7 096 cases.
Thus far, 2 773 778 cases of Covid-19 tests have been conducted with a recovery rate of 61%.
