SA's Covid-19 recovery rate hovers around 70% mark

South Africa's Covid-19 recovery rate is touching the 70% mark .
South Africa’s recovery rate stood at 68% on Sunday evening with a total of 347 227 recoveries recorded since the start of the pandemic in March.
Despite the number of recoveries recorded, deaths as a result of the deadly virus continue to increase and are currently at 8 366.

The Free State recorded the most number of deaths – with 51 deaths recorded in the latest 24-hour period.
It’s follows by the Western Cape with 43deaths, 41 from Gauteng, 31 from KwaZulu-Natal, 25 from the Eastern Cape and 23 in Limpopo.
To date, 511 485 cases of Covid-19 have been recorded in the country.
