Dozens of more coronavirus deaths as South Africa moves to Level 3

South Africa has reported a record high of 1 716 new confirmed Covid-19 case on Sunday.

The Department of Health revealed in a statement the country has 32 683 confirmed cases.
In a statement, Health Minister Zweli Mkhize said 40 more Covid-19 related deaths were recorded in the 24 hours leading up to Sunday night.
That brings the total of national deaths to 683.
"We extend our condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the health care workers who treated the deceased," said Mkhize.
