The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) will financially support artists who have been with the party since its inception.
EFF leader Julius Malema made the announcement during his Freedom Day message on Monday morning.
Malema said the party will use its meagre resources to support the artists.
"All musicians and entertainers who have ever been on our stage or events will get financial support to help ease the economic burden brought by Covid-19.

"The reality is that these artists would've been with us today if our rally had taken place to commemorate Freedom Day."
The government regulations aimed at stemming the tide of Covid-19 has banned gatherings with the exception of funerals.
This has left artists in the lurch and unable to earn an income.
It is still not clear when mass gatherings will be allowed, although lockdown level 1 states that most normal activities are able to resume provided the necessary health guidelines are followed.
