Gauteng health employees test positive for Covid-19

Two workers in the Gauteng Department of Health have tested positive for the coronavirus.
One of the officials is Kwara Kekana, spokesperson for the department.
Kekana announced her results on social media on Wednesday.
So I tested positive for COVID-19 couple of days ago. Been self isolating at home. I miss simple things like being able to go buy bread at the garage.

Julius Maputla, the Manager for Stakeholder Relations is the second official who was diagnosed with the virus.
"As part of the established protocol, the two employees are currently in self-isolation at their respective homes for the prescribed period.
"Both the Gauteng Health Provincial Central Office and the Disaster Management Centre have been disinfected and soon after, declared fit for operation," Motalatale Modiba head of communications said.

Modiba reiterated that the Member of the Executive Committee (MEC) for Health, Bandile Masuku remains negative after having already undergone five tests.
"Once more, we wish to confirm that so far, the MEC for Health Dr Bandile Masuku who has to date tested five times, as well as the remainder of the officials in his office, remain negative in terms of confirmed test results.
"The Department and the MEC wishes the two officials, who remain in high spirits, a speedy recovery."
